“ATHLETICS"

On Wednesday the 1st of December some of the year 7’s from Pt England School went to the eastern zone athletics at Lloyd Elsmore Park for the intermediate inter zones. It was our first time going there because we just started our intermediate at the beginning of the year. The sport that I was in was long jump and Discus. It was hard for me because the other competitors in the long jump were quite good. It was very hard for me because I didn’t get to practice it. For Discus it was a little bit hard for me because, the discus was bigger then the school discus. I had done the discus and long jump and now was the relays. In the relays for the junior girls was April, Bobby Grace, Shontal and myself. First to run was April than Bobby Grace than Shontal last but not least was me. When Shontal approached me I started running full speed then she passed the baton and I ran all the way to the end. We managed to come second in the relays. It was tiring it felt like I was running non - stop. We were all happy of what we came in the relays. After a while we had to pack all our belongings and watch the rest of the relays and then we had to head back to school and tell them how well we done.

LIFE SAVING EDUCATION.

On Friday the 19th of November Rooms 19 and 20 went to Mairangi Bay for life saving education. We went to Mairangi Bay to learn about what to do when we are in the water or if something is happening in the water. We met 4 different life guards they were Rosey, Raquel, Megan and Bayley. First they introduced them selves. They talked about where they came from and what beach is theirs. After a few minutes they showed us around the place and where to go when we want to get changed. After they showed us around the place, they talked a little bit about the water and about when we are in the water we have to swim between the flags. They said if we don’t swim between the flags what are the chances of a life guard or someone saving you, she also told us about the inflatable rescue boat.Soon it was morning tea, after we had morning tea we had to come in and Rosey one of the life guards talked to us about sun screen. We had to look for the expiry date,SPF and water resistance. It was now lunch time and we had to get changed straight after lunch time because we were going to go into the water soon.We now got to go into the water with tubes and with the boogie boards. We had 10 minutes left to have free time of swimming.I started getting cold so I decided to get changed. We soon had to go home but first we had to say a big thank you to the life guards. I had a great time that I want to have a day there again.

'Mighty Teen Mariner'

I beleive that the most important attribute of a 'Mighty Teen Marnier' is Determination because he determined to achieve his goal by sailing around the world even though there were some tough times but he still kept on going.

Niue Island

Niue is a significant island where I wasn't born in but have always wished of going there. Niue is where my grandparents were born in and grew in for couple of years and also where my older uncle and aunty were born. It is a beautiful island that has a lot of wonderful lagoons and amazing palm trees. To me and my family it is like paradise.

Redoubt Norths New Atrium

At Redoubt North School we needed a new set of class rooms for the intermediate kids. We got our new class rooms. We had six class rooms altogether there were 4 classes on top and 2 at the bottom. There were 2 extra rooms at the bottom. One of the rooms was a Technology room and one was a Atrium. The technology room was so cool because they had cupboards that slide open with material in one of them, instruments in one, paint in one and remote controls. In the Atrium it had stairs to go to the top where the other 4 class rooms were.

First day back at Point England School

AAAARRRRRHHHHH, I just woke up from my wonderful sleep when I had to wake up because I was getting enrolled back at Pt England School. I was so excited to get enrolled back at Pt England School. First we had to see what my Nana would say about me getting enrolled back at P.E.S. She said that it was good to get enrolled again. The thing that I was most excited about was seeing all my old friends like Vaha, Mauina, Racheal, Tamara, Tracey, and Gabby and Etta.

Redoubt North Primary and Intermediate School

At my old school I used to love playing pod sport every Fridays. The games I was good at and loved playing, was BenchBall, Netball, Soccer and BasketBall. There were 4 kinds of houses there were Scorpious, Eclipse, Galaxy and Orion. The house that I was in, was Galaxy that was the house that won the most points. Last term, at R.N.S Galaxy won at having the most points, and got pizza on the last day of term 3. At R.N.S school my favourite sports teacher was called Mrs Laiatauia. My teacher was called Ms Chapman-Smith. Now I have come back to Pt England School where there is now intermadiate. The class that I'm in is in room 19 with Ms Tito. When I came back to Pt England I was A little bit shy to be back at P.E.S.
